Hungary’s deputy PM: Romania’s territorial reorganization a planned and unacceptable change of the ethnic map
The project of territorial reorganization of Romania could be a planned and unacceptable change of the ethnic map and threatens the Hungarian minority in Romania deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjen said quoted by Romanian news agency Mediafax. He underlined that there were such plans before and it is hard to say how serious they were given the political context. He said it is a death and life issue for the Hungarian minority in Transylvania.
He said Romania signed international agreements not to forcefully change the ethnic map. The Hungarian deputy PM claims that the plan reminds of the anti-Hungarian measures during the time of the Romanian Communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.
