85 Romanian gypsies evacuated from two illegal camps in Italy
Italian authorities started, on Wednesday morning, to demolish two illegal camps of immigrants in North and South of Italy where about 85 Romanian citizens were living, of Rroma ethnicity, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs quoting the Italian press. A camp of immigrants was demolished at Milan, in the outskirts of the city and another in Puglia region, South of the country.
Milan mayor declared that eight shacks and five tents occupied by 45 Romanian gypsies were demolished on Wednesday morning. Another 40 gypsies were evacuated from a camp located in Puglia region, South of the country.
According to Libero News, the actions were triggered after the private company Agip, the owner of the terrain where the camp was installed, complained about the abuse of the gypsies.
