10.4 billion euro from the EU for cooperation programs between Romania and Serbia

Serbia’s Regional Development Ministry launches Thursday, April 30 the first call for trans-national projects for: economic and social development, environment and emergency trainings, promoting cultural exchange among communities. Public authorities, non-profit companies, non-governmental agencies (associations or foundations), public sector operators or local/regional authorties can submit a project proposal from either Romania or Serbia.

The projects will be financed through Pre-Accession Programs within the Romanian – Serbian Trans-national cooperation program. The deadline for projects was set for July 29, 2009 and the allocated sum amounts to 10,419,132 euro, a Serbian ministry press release informs.

Projects will receive a minimum of 30,000 euro to a 1,000,000 euro maximum. More details about the call for projects including any other information can be found on www.romania-serbia.net, and www.brct-timisoara.ro.
