10,000 workers expected to protest in Bucharest on Wednesday
10, 000 national railroad workers are expected to attend a protest in Bucharest scheduled to start at the Transports ministry headquarters, followed by a march to the Government’s premises. The protest is legal, approved by the local City Hall and will be held from 10:30 am to 2 pm. Authorities announced that traffic will not be restricted in the area.
From the Transports ministry, protesters will march towards the Government’s premises, in Victoria Square through Calea Grivitei – Polizu – Buzesti – Government. However, they do not have authorization to stand in front of the government.
Union representatives declared that, for the moment, they do not consider to block the railroads as they expect a decision to be made following negotiations in Brussels.
