12 consortiums compete to build motorway segment
The National Roads and Highways Company (CNADNR) received 12 candidate files for the construction of the Comarnic – Brasov segment in the Bucharest – Brasov motorway. The files will be analyzed on order to check if the 12 consortiums fulfill the qualifying criteria.
The companies interested in building the segment are:Consortiu Mochlos – Danya Cebus; Astrada Concessions; CAP Consortium Autostrada Prahova; Consortiu Vinci Concessions – Aktor Concessions – Vinci Construction Grands Projets – Aktor; Consortiul pentru Autostrada Prahova, Consortiul Stradacia; J&P Avax – Athena – Macquarie Brasov Consortium; Eiffage – Vegyepszer Konzorcium; Comarnic – Brasov Motorway Consortium (FCC Construccion – Alpine – Astaldi); Impregilo – Itinera Joint Venture; Consortiu Autostrada A3 Comarnic – Brasov Consonoi Bilfinger Berger Porr and Ashtrom Group – Shapir Structures 1991.
The bid is opened only for investors with businesses over 500 million annual business figures for the past five years. The investors must also prove that they were involved in at least two similar projects, worth a minimum of 200 million euro.
The bid for the Comarnic – Brasov, first scheduled for December 24, 2007, was postponed twice, the delays being requested by the interested companies.
CNADNR estimates that the 58 kilometers segment may cost up to 3 billion euro.
