VIDEO Massive EU flag put on display in Bucharest on Europe Day: ""We don't want to be led by thieves, we want strong democracy and state of law!"

A EU flag measuring more than 10 meters was put on display before the Office of the European Commission to Buchares in the afternoon on Wednesday, the Europe Day. The event was aimed at showing the „support of Romanians for European values, independent justice and democratic values”.

An organiser of the event said the flag was telling that „we don’t want to be led by thieves, we want strong democracy and state of law”.

The EU flag was shown as part of a larger action launched last year. Measuring 10.5×7.5 cm, it travelled through 25 European cities starting with Galati, Romania in February 2017.

The event was organised by several civic communities in Romania.
