HotNews.ro

Allowances provided to Romanian mothers for up to 2 years since giving birth, which amount to 85% of the average income for the previous year, would drop 15%, according to a draft emergency ordinance published by a judge on his blog.

Various governmental sources have announced that allowances for mothers would drop with two options circulated in the news: either setting a limit of 600 RON for allowances to all mothers, or setting it at the level of a lower percentage of the average income.

The quotes source – judge Adrian Neacsu, head of the Vrancea Tribunal – the allowance given when a baby is born, which amounts to 230 RON, would also drop by 15%, a percentage cut from the 200 RON state allowance provided to children as well.
