Over 340 big companies have debts to the state budget worth 3 billion lei

Over 340 big companies in Romania have unpaid dues to the state of about 700 million euro, according to the Romanian National Fiscal Administration data quoted by Incont. Of these, almost half have blocked bank accounts for a total debt of 295 million euro.
Among the biggest companies in such situations are state companies. Thus, the National Coal Company’s debt amounts to 3.63 million lei while the national railway company, CFR has debts of 506 million lei.
