34 accused of information fraud retained. Romanian magistrates will decide on temporary arrest

Romanian Prosecutors from the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) in Valcea (South) have issued warrants to retain 19 more people accused of information frauds, alongside 15 others. The warrants will keep the accused at the Police station over the next 24 hours. Investigations of criminal online auctions led to searches and arrests.

DIICOT chief-prosecutor from Arges (South) Nicolae Blaga declared that 34 persons have been retained after hearing 40 young people over 15 hours. Magistrates at Valcea Tribunal are due to judge the preventive arrests proposals in the case of all 34 retained today, March 7.

Tens of people have been taken to hearings at the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism office in Valcea, following an investigation addressing online criminal auctions. Romanian prosecutors collaborated with FBI officers and the Secret Service.

During the exact same time, there were home ten searches in Prague (the Czech Republic) and seven in the USA, looking for members of organised crime gangs.
