European Commission report: reforms have a slower pace in Romania

The interim European Commission report regarding the judicial system in Romania will conclude that the country was not able no maintain the reform rhythm but that anti-corruption fight improved last year, RFI Brussels correspondent Mihaela Gherghisan said after consulting a draft of the report.

The text underlines that there are delays in the Parliament regarding the two procedural, civil and penal codes. The National Anti – Graft Department registered good results, the report reads. The EC report is expected to be released next week. Meanwhile, the document is consulted internally.

A copy of the report was sent to the Romanian and Bulgarian Ambassadors for consultation.
