Ludovic Orban: I will stand for President of the Liberal Party
Ludovic Orban announced his candidacy for the Liberal Party leadership, in a press conference on Sunday. He said that I can team up with Antonescu and with former Liberal leader Tariceanu, Orban said.
He added that his objective in the upcoming local elections is to win the Bucharest City Hall and 1,000 city halls across in the country. Orban said that he will propose on Tuesday and Wednesday his project for the Liberal party and Romania.
Antonescu announced several weeks ago that the first deputy President function will be cleared after next week’s congress and if he will receive another mandate, Orban will not be part of his team.
At his turn, Orban declared two weeks ago that he will not run against Antonescu if the voting in the Congress will be individually, on a nominal system not on lists, as Antonescu wants.
