IMF approved the two installments for Romania worth 2.3 billion euro
IMF approved the third and fourth installments for Romania, worth 2.3 billion euro. The money will be delivered by Tuesday, news televisions inform, IMF board discussed on Friday the evaluation report of the stand by agreement with Romania to approve the two installments.
An IMF, World Bank, European Commission mission visited Romania on 20 – 27 January. IMF mission Jeffrey Franks announced at the end of the visit that he will recommend the IMF to release the installments.
Half of the sum will go to the National Central Bank and the other half will enter the Finance ministry account. Romania has an agreement with the IMF for two years for 12.95 billion euro. A new IMF mission will arrive in Bucharest in April – May to evaluate whether Romania fulfilled its criteria in March.
