Two Social Democratic Senators and one Liberal resigned from the parties and affiliated to the independents
Two Social Democrats and one from the Liberal Party resigned from the parties and affiliated to the independent group. It regards PSD Senators Sorin Serioja Chivu and Laurentiu Chirvasuta and Liberal Vasile Nedelcu, Romanian news agency NewsIn reads. The information comes a day after two other deputies left PSD.
Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase announced on Monday that two PSD deputies, Gabriel Tita and Razvan Turea resigned from the party and joined the independents. In this moment, there are 24 members in the independents group.
Update: Social Democratic leader Mircea Geoana declared that he is surprised by the gesture of the parliamentarians who betrayed their party. However, he added that there are only isolated cases.
