Patronages: 50,000 companies will be bankrupt by March next year. 100,000 more Romanians to face unemployment
Approximately 50,000 companies will be bankrupt by March next year due to the amount of debt the state needs to pay them. The sums regard unreturned VAT or delays in subventions, according to patronages’ representatives. They estimate that the number of unemployed will increase by 100,000 more people.
„There is the major risk that for economic crisis to increase rapidly. We worry about the raise of all the prices in the economy in the period to come, in the winter season. Expect at least 100,000 more people to become unemployed during the next two months. I am not talking about what might happen without practical economic measures”, the Romanian Industry Workers’ General Assembly – UGIR 1903 – Cezar Coraci declared, quoted by Radio Romania.
