Romania's budgetary deficit increased to 5.1% of GDP after the first nine months within the IMF threshold
The general consolidated budget registered, in the first nine months of the year, a 25.56 billion lei deficit, representing 5.1% of GDP, above the level registered in late august, Romanian Finance ministry data shows. In the first six months of the year, Romania’s budgetary deficit was 4.5% of GDP.
The budgetary deficit registered respected the IMF agreed threshold. In late September, the general consolidated budget spending totaled 141.33 billion lei.
