Health minister Ion Bazac: Romania did not import livestock pigs from Mexico

There are no data to confirm that Romania imported pigs from Mexico, Romania’s Health minister Ion Bazac informed. He underlined that in our country there was no swine flu case reported. Bazac said that the virus is transmitted through human contact and not from pig to human.

State authorities are currently investigating all livestock imports. Plus, all people coming from US, Spain, Mexico and Canada are checked.
