IMF may revise global economic growth forecast
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) may revise its global economy growth forecast again, less than three months since the last official report. New predictions would see a decrease in growth from 2.2% 1-1.5% for 2009, said the deputy manager of Monetary and Securities Market department within the IMF, Axel Bertuch-Samuels, quoted by Reuters.
„The prognosis will be revised to 1-1.5%, which is a huge difference, because the perspectives of the global economy deteriorated significantly during the past few months. The confidence of both consumers and investors decreased to levels unseen in the past decades”, the IMF official said.
