More than 50% of all Europeans are pessimistic about the EU economy
The news about the economic crisis doubles the number of pessimistic EU citizens – from 27% to 58% – when it comes to economy. The number of pessimistic citizens tripled in Romania, although
it remains on a lower-than-average level, at 31%, Euractiv informs.
The change in the public opinion polls is described by social experts as an „earthquake”. The difference between the pessimistic attitude six months ago and the attitude now is over 10%. Romanians remain among the most optimistic five nations in Europe, behind Sweden and Denmark, on the same level with the United Kingdom and France.
