Explosions occur in Istanbul, three injured

Several improvised grenades were detonated on Thursday near a municipal building in Istanbul, injuring at least three people in the area, CNN informs. The Police closed the area, while several witnesses reported seeing two suspects fleeing on a bike. According to the Anatolia news agency, the attack took place in the Asian part of Istanbul, in Uskudar.

Less than a month ago, two bombs exploded in Istanbul, killing 17 and injuring 154 people. PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested that the Kurd Labor Party, PKK, may be related to the attack, but PKK officials firmly denied their involvement.
