Romanian currency at maximum for 2008

The Romanian Central Bank (BNR) announced an exchange rate of 3.54 RON per euro, the lowest quote for the European currency since the beginning of the year. The national currency, RON, won 0,0127 units on Wednesday, compared to the previous session.

Still, the RON lost to the US dollar, which reached an exchange rate of 2.2675, after a level of 2.2540 RON per USD on Tuesday.

The Swiss franc (CHF) was 2.1672 RON on Wednesday, 0.0135 RON less than Tuesday.
