Sandero to enter Russian market in 2009, first brought from Romania then produced in Moscow
The new hatchback Sandero model, launched in Romania last month, will enter the Russian market in the second part of 2009. Initially, all cars will be imported fom Romania but by the end of 2009, the new Dacia model will be produced in Russia, at the Avtoframos factory where the Logan model has been produced for three years, Russian news agency RIA Novosti informs.
The car will be available in various options, just like in Romania. The Russian factory will double its capacity by 2009 in order to produce 160,000 cars per year and will continue setting up the Logan model.
Renault sales in Russia increased by 23% to reach 56,000 units and 41,000 of them were Logan models.
