Russia to send its first humanitarian aid for Serbs in Kosovo
The first Russian plane containing humanitarian aid for Serbs in Kosovo was send to Belgrade, BBC informs. The transport was decided by President Vladimir Putin after the Serbian government solicited it. Thus, some 40 tons of aids will be distributed by the Serbian Red Cross.
Russian minister for emergency situations, Veronika Smolskaya said that the Moscow government plans to send some 140 tons of aid including food, medicine and medical equipments. Russia opposes Kosovo’s independence acknowledgement.
