Romanian hacker reveals method to rip into Italian bank accounts
A 22 year old Romanian, Sorin Pascu, condemned to five and a half years in Italy for ripping into bank accounts of 200 Italian citizens, has revealed his method to the Italian police, the daily Il Giornale reads.
Sorin Pascu describes in detail how he and his team bought telephone cards from the streets with no ID which they used to connect to the Internet and send thousands of phising emails signed in the name of the Italian Post Office.
Some of the recipients would access the fake internet link and, when prompted they would fill up their account number and password.
Once the information was received the money was extracted from the bank account.
