The resounding success of Steaua Bucharest against Dinamo Kiev in the first leg of the Champions League groups on Wednesday, two other Romanian teams, Dinamo Bucharest and Rapid Bucharest, managed two other victories on Thursday. Dinamo defeated Xanthi Skoda 3-4, while Rapid scored 1-0 against Nacional Madeira.
With Viorel Moldovan’s goal against Nacional, Rapid become the favorites to qualify further in the UEFA Cup.
