Former PM takes a breather in corruption file

The Supreme Court decided to return to anti-graft prosecutors one of the files referring to former prime minister Adrian Nastase, given that the investigation took place without the president’s of the Parliament’s approval.

According to the Ministers’ Responsibility law, as it was valid at the time, this approval was not necessary.

The Constitutional Court decided on June 5th 2007 that the new regulation must also apply to former minister.
