Romanian car Logan leads sales in CEE market

Romanian car brand Dacia Logan was the best sold car in Central and Eastern Europe in the third quarter, with some 24,000 Dacia cars sold from a total of 325,000 cars sold on this market, according to a JATO Dynamics study, quoted by Romanian news agency NewsIn.

Logan sales exceeded those of Skoda Fabia and Skoda Octavia in the same quarter and reached a market share of 7.43%. Closely following its competitors, Opel Astra sold 8,492 units while Ford Focus – some 8,116.

Overall, there were 325,000 cars sold in Central Eastern Europe in the third quarter, up 14.9% compared to the similar period last year.

Romania is among the most dynamic markets in the region, registering 82,585 car sales – a 20.25% increase compared to last year.
