About 20,000 companies suspended their activity in Q1

The number of companies that suspended their activity in the first quarter of the year increased by 356.32% compared to the similar period in 2009, from 4,354 to 19,868 according to official date released by the National Commerce Registry.

Most companies that suspended their activities were from Bucharest (3,076), Cluj (952), Bihor with 884 and Brasov with 866. In the same period, 28,050 companies registered, 20% less than in 2009.
