Another two cases of A/H1N1 in North-East Romania
Two teenagers from Great Britain, who came in Iasi on June 23, have been tested positive for swine flu on June 29 by the specialists from the National Infectious Diseases Hospital. They are part of a group of 22 – 19 students and 3 teachers – that take part annually in a social programme with the Placing Centre for children with psychological and physical deficiencies in Iasi, North-East Romania.
The patients are currently hospitalised with the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Iasi, receiving antiviral treatment.
Public Heath Authority and Iasi Public Health Institute have started investigating and monitoring the persons who came in contact with the two Brits to detect a possible spread of the disease. The children receiving social help are also tested for swine flu.
Romania currently counts 27 swine flu infection cases, included the two cases announced on Monday by the National Institute „Cantacuzino”.
