Canada drops visa requirements for 4 European countries, excluding Romania and Bulgaria
Canada has eliminated visa requirements for Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania and Hungary but both Romanians and Bulgarians will still need a visa to enter the North American country, France Presse reads, quoting an official website in Ottawa. The Canadian Immigration Ministry said that the measure would determine a better relation between these countries, to the benefit of the Canadians.
However, the Canadian Immigration minister declared it would collaborate with Romanian and Bulgarian authorities to eliminate their visa requirements as well. Last year, the European Commission urged Ottawa authorities to open up the gates of their country for European citizens.
