Champions League: CFR Cluj – Bordeaux: 1 – 2

Romania’s hope for the Champions League top 16 teams was lost in front of Bordeaux in the A group of qualifications. At the same time, AS Roma won easily in front of Chelsea (3-1), making it possible, from a mathematical point of view, for all four teams in the group to still be able to qualify to the next level.

After the fourth game, the A group ranking is led by Chelsea (7 points), followed by Rome (6p.), Bordeaux (6p.) and CFR (4p.).

While the Bordeaux trainer, Laurent Blanc, still believes that CFR has a shot at qualifying, the CFR president, Iuliu Muresan, says that the team is more likely to have better results next year.
