Dacia's management announces end of strike while union members argue the contrary
Dacia Renault union members declared on Friday that the official announcement made by administration’s representatives a day earlier is just another pressure for workers to give up the general strike, Mediafax informs. Dacia’s administration announced on Thursday that workers not participating in the strike started working.
Dacia Communications Director, Liviu Ion declared on Thursday that Dacia started producing with those employees who are not on strike and produced only 85 cars as compared to 61 cars per hours produced under normal conditions.
Union member representatives argue that they are determined to go through with their demands, namely to get a better salary pack. Moreover, they argue that Dacia’s administration are trying to intimidate them rather than negotiate with them.
Union member Vice President Ion Iordache declared that French union members are going to sustain their demeanour financially in order to distribute the money to those in strike since they do not receive their salaries.
