One of the biggest opposition parties, Democrat Liberals (PD-L) submitted a censure motion against the Government on the teachers’ salary increase, PD-L spokesperson Liviu Negoita declared. The motion, Education stays, the Government leaves, was submitted to the Senate and the House of Deputies permanent offices.

The motion was signed by 132 parliamentarians, even though a requirement was 116 parliamentarians. Thus, PD-L urges the parliament to urge for the government’s resignation on grounds that the Prime Minister’s main goal is to push for social disorder.

The motion reads that the law represents an important right for teachers and it is not meant to raise electoral capital. Moreover, PD-L accuses the government of discretionary budgetary spending.
