European Central Bank keeps reference interest at 4%
The European Central Bank announced on Thursday the decision to maintain its reference interest at 4%, BBC informs. The Bank has not changed its interest since June 2007. The decision was taken unanimously and was anticipated by the financial markets.
On Wednesday, the British central bank cut its key interest by 0.25 points to reach 5% in order to protect Britain’s economy from the international financial crisis.
