Ex- PSD leader Mircea Geoana suspended for 6 months from the party / PSD leader Ponta: he can prove his commitment to the party 

Mircea Geoana, former PSD leader, was suspended from the party for six months, but he still enjoys the support of the party to maintain his position as Speaker of the Senate, PSD spokesperson Radu Moldovan declared. In the upcoming period, Geoana will have the opportunity to prove his committment to the party, PSD leader Victor Ponta commented.

Due to this sanction, Geoana cannot attend PSD meetings, cannot speak on behalf of the party for 6 months. The party’s leader Victor Ponta declared that Geoana is to decide whether he will want to be part of the party still, or not.
