First Citroen SUV to enter Romanian market in May
Citroen Romania will launch in May its C-Crosser model, the first compact SUV in the Citroen history. Two diesel versions will be available at first on the Romanian market. The producer didn’t announce the price of the car on the Romanian, nor the moment when the gasoline model will be launched.
The C-Crosser model, presented last year in Geneva and officially launched in 2007, will be available in Romania in its 2.2 liters version, with 156 HP and the 2 liters engine, with 136 HP.
In Western Europe, the car sells for some 30,000 euro. C-Crosser is produced in Japan, at the Mitsubishi factory in Mizushima, along with the Peugeot 4007 SUV and the new Mitsubishi Outlander. Both French cars use the Outlander platform.
Citroen has 15 retailers in Romania and aims at selling 7,500 units in 2008. The company sold 4,900 units in 2007, covering 1.4% of the market.
