Former Transport Minister Miron Mitrea brought to Court by anti-graft prosecutors

The prosecutors in the National Anti-Graft Prosecution Office (DNA) decided on Thursday to send to Court former Transport Minister Miron Mitrea, a DNA press release informs. Mitrea is accused of accepting bribe, instigating to forgery of official documents, both directly connected to crimes of corruption and use of forgeries.

Mitrea is accused in the same file as Irina Jianu, former deputy of the chief-inspector in the State Authority for Constructions. Irina Jianu is accused of repeatedly offering bribe and using the commercial companies’ goods in ill-will, against their interests.

Irina Jianu is also a central piece in the files against former Prime Minister Adrian Nastase.
