Gara de Nord – Otopeni railway route will be closed due to recorded losses

The railway route that links Otopeni airport and Gara de Nord station from Bucharest will cease to be functional due to current losses, Transort minister Radu Berceanu announced on Tuesday. He did not mention though when the route will be closed, Romanian news agency Mediafax reads.

The route currently calls at Bucuresti–Triaj-Chitila-Mogosoaia-Balotesti. From here, the passengers can reach Otopeni airport by bus. The route was first open to public in February this year.
