Giulesti Maternity management suspended until the investigation ends / Dr. Victoria Nicolau, named interim director 

The management of the Giulesti Maternity was suspended until the investigation is finished, Deputy Mayor Victor Iovici declared for news televisions and adding that he informed the hospital’s management of Bucharest Mayor’s decision.

According to Iovici, dr. Victoria Nicolau, was named interim director. On Wednesday afternoon, Bucharest mayor Sorin Oprescu declared that, in his opinion, those who make a mistake need to pay for it.

On Tuesday, Health minister Attila Cseke urged Oprescu, earlier today, to dismiss the management of the Giulesti Maternity, after the tragic explosion in the intensive care unit, killing four newly born and severely injuring another seven.
