Heat wave to hit Romania this weekend

Temperatures are expected to exceed 36 degrees Celsius in Western and Southern Romania over the next three days, meteorologists have announced. Thermal comfort index may exceed the critical threshold of 80 units during the period.

A heat wave warning has been adressed to 17 counties: Arad, Bihor, Braila, the capital Bucharest, Buzau, Caras-Severin, Calarasi, Dolj, Galati, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Ilfov, mehedinti, Olt, Timisoara, Teleorman and Vrancea.
