Interior Ministry and Insurance authority to postpone obligatory home insurance introduction

The Interior Ministry and the Insurance Surveillance Commission (CSA) intend to postpone the application of the law imposing obligatory insurance of homes against earthquakes, land slides and floods.

In a press release on Thursday, CSA claims that applying this law needs more than putting up the technical standards, it also needs an upgrade of the mechanisms on the level of local authorities, in order to ensure a coherent and uninterrupted data flow.
