Iraqi Ambassador Adel Murad: Romanian companies are lazy, still working in communist style
Former journalist and current Iraqi Ambassador to Bucharest Adel Murad criticizes Romanian companies for the lack of interest for potential business opportunities in his country. In an interview for an Arabian news agency, Adel Murat admits that a 2 billion dollars arms request could not be honored by Romania.
The Ambassador argued that after 50 years of diplomatic relations, Romanians have been working in Iraqi oil platforms, have built the largest cement factories, worked for highways, irrigations etc. Murad advises Romanian companies not to fear the business environment in Iraq and gives the Turks as an example.
Moreover, the Ambassador urges the Romanian government to loosen up visa requirements and open its doors to Iraqi businessmen who have lots of money to invest in the country. Moreover, the Ambassador disapproves the current Communist-rooted practices used by Romanian companies.
