Lithuanians and Bulgarians protest against their governments
The economic crisis transforms into a political one in the region, Dan Popa reads in his weblog. First, citizens in Lithuania organized a protest against their government due to the crisis that lead them in a recession and Bulgarians followed suit.
The confrontations between police forces and protesters were held in front of the Parliament in Sofia, a press release of the Bulgarian Interior ministry reads. 31 people were imprisoned and 5 police officers were injured.
