Liviu Popa, the new Chief of Police 

Quaestor Liviu Popa, current general director of the anti-corruption direction in the Interior minister replaces Petre Toba as chief of police. Popa was named in October 2009.

Aged 42, Popa graduated the Police Academy and holds a law diploma from the Law University in Bucharest and post-graduate studies.
