New regulation for Supreme Justice Council

The Supreme Justice Council held a special meeting today in order to discuss the new interior regulation. Participating in the session, president Traian Basescu suggested that a new department should be formed to handle the procedure problems in the files about to be sent to court.

The suggestion comes as a response to the high rate of trials lost by prosecutors because of procedure flaws.

The new SJC regulation may come into force before the end of the year.
