New WHO swine flu survey: over 55,000 contaminations and 238 dead
AH1N1 has contaminated 55,867 people so far, in 109 countries, leading to 238 deaths, according to the latest World Health Organisation survey. There have been 3,707 new contamination cases and seven more dead since the previous survey published on Monday, AFP informs.
The most significant virus spread is recorded in Argentina (+ 203, 1,213 cases, out of which 7 dead), Australia (+ 42, 2,857 cases, out of which 2 dead), Brazil (+ 203, 334 cases), Canada (+ 747, 6,457 cases, out of which 15 dead), China (+ 167, 906 cases), Mexico (+ 223, 7.847 cases, out of which 115 dead), New Zeeland (+ 128, 386 cases), Philippine (+ 101, 445 cases, out of which one dead), Thailand (+ 185, 774 cases), Great Britain (+ 399, 2,905 cases, out of which one dead) and in Uruguay (+ 159, 195 cases).
Romania recorded 19 swine flu cases up until now.
