Patriarch Kirill of Moscow in Bucharest visit on Thursday

Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill of Moscow visits Bucharest on Thursday. He will spend several days to attend ceremonies organized by the Romanian Orthodox Church, including one marking ten years since Daniel was named Patriarch of Romania, according to News.ro news agency.

This is the first such visit allowing the heads of the Romanian and Russian Orthodox Churches to meet after the fall of communism in Romania almost three decades ago.
