Romania – biggest car importer of used cars from Germany in 2006

Germany’s statistics show that Romanians were the most interested among Europeans in importing used German cars in 2006. Bulgarians come seventh among importers of such cars from Germany, according to the Bulgarian Sega press agency, cited by Rador.

According to the German statistics, last year, Bulgarians bought 17,396 used German cars while Romanians bought 82,8960 such cars.

However, in 2007 the number of imported used cars fell dramatically after the Finance Minister adopted the controversial law applying differentiated taxes on used and new imported cars.
