Romania recommended the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military attaché
The president of the Ukrainian Parliament’s Security and Defense Commission, Anatoly Gritsenko, declared on Wednesday that „Romania recommended the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military attaché and of his assistant”. The Ukrainian military attaché was expelled from Romania on Monday, due to an espionage scandal.
Gritsenko appreciates that the gesture was „unbalanced” and :unfriendly” and claims that Ukraine should answer accordingly. „Two Romanian military diplomats should be expelled from Ukraine”, said the official, according to the Ukrainska Pravda website.
The deputy emphasized that there were more unfriendly gestured between Romania and Ukraine in the recent past. „There were statements made by the Romanian president, which were not correctly evaluated and didn’t make our Foreign Ministry answer accordingly”, said Gritsenko.
