Romania registered biggest European annual growth in constructions sector in April

Romania’s constructions sector registered its biggest annual growth in April, compared to the other European Union member states, the advance of the sector was 30% in the mentioned period, Eurostat data shows. At Union level, the constructions sector dropped by 0.3% in April while in the Euro zone it dropped by 2.4%.

According to Eurostat, ten member states registered growth and other three member states a decrease in the constructions sector. However, the report did not include all member states.

The most important increases were registered in Slovenia with 23.3%, Poland with 22.8% and Bulgaria with 21% while the greatest decreases registered in the Czech Republic with -3.5%, Germany with -2.3% and Spain with -21.8%.
