Romania stand on Kosovo remains unchanged

HotNews.ro

The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) has announced that country’s stand regarding Kosovo independence remains unchanged. Foreign minister Adrian Cioroianu will offer more details, after a series of official talks at European Union level, according to MAE.

Romanian authorities already announced that they would refuse to acknowledge the independence of Kosovo unless a deal is reached in this regard between Belgrade and Pristina or the EU adopts a common stand on the issue. After Kosovo declared its independence on Sunday, both the Presidency and the Government in Bucharest refused to make any official statement on the issue.
